The text explores grief, connection beyond death, and the supernatural.

It tells the story of a woman who, after losing her husband, begins sleepwalking and behaving strangely—almost as if she's still interacting with him. Her son, the narrator, becomes worried as her actions become more intense, including going outside at night. Eventually, the narrator witnesses her speaking to and seemingly guiding the ghost of her deceased husband back into the house.
